You’re the first I’ve ever seen that recommended a plastic vessel for secondary. How in the heck do you clean this when you make a strong beer like a Belgian and you have lots of by products stuck the sides and bottom? I wouldn’t trust an oxygen based cleaner only and I know that a glass carboy brush is going to scratch the plastic. Second question.. how long do you tell people the plastic will last if they ask? I’ve never had a problem lifting or even dropping a glass carboy when I installed the orange metal carrier on top. I’ve always been told that plastic is good for primary but that glass is better for both primary and secondary if you have the extra founds. Keep up the good work of your basic videos.

Here in Mexico we buying 20 liter water bottles for each batch and then we use the emptied water bottle as a Carboy. Here the 20 liter bottles are returnable like coca cola bottles. Works great for us.
